We recently hosted our High School Video Summit to expand and grow video system experiences. In this next episode from our NACDA Series, Justin and Matt are joined by Makayla Nichols, Academic Advisor from James Madison University, and Nestor Osorio, Director of Athletics at Walla Walla University. They share their experiences in the collegiate space, their thoughts on the NACDA Convention and the importance of the mental aspect of athletics.

With new technology at their fingertips, Sporting Kansas City is putting on a great match-day experience at Children’s Mercy Park. To get a look behind the scenes, Justin and Matt sat down with Josh Blackford, Vice President of Operations and GM at Children’s Mercy Park, and Blake McFarland, Director of Match Experience for Sporting Kansas City. The conversation covers everything from the unique shape of their main display and how it matches their stadium to how they use multiple displays in coordination to engage their fans.

In our special NACDA series, we recorded from our booth in the trade show exhibit hall. To kick things off, we spoke with our President and CEO Reece Kurtenbach to hear about our history with NACDA and the college marketplace. We then spoke with NACDA’s Dana LeRoy about the convention, their mission and Daktronics. Finally, we talked with our own Eric Cain, lead sales for the collegiate space, to hear more about our company’s approach and trends we’re seeing at that level of sports.

Augustana University recently opened the new Midco Arena in Sioux Falls, SD. To hear about the entire project, including their centerhung LED display system, Justin and Matt visited the arena and were joined by Josh Morton, VP of Athletics, and Luke Groth, Associate AD of Operations.
