The Collegiate Athletic Leadership Symposium (CALS) is right around the corner. So, Justin and Matt sat down with Will Reece, CALS Founder and Director, to hear all about this event, what goes into it and what makes it different than many other conferences surrounding college athletics.

When Catawba College installed a new LED video display, they turned to an alumnus and creative design consultant, Jacob Parks, who currently works with Ricoh USA. He joins Justin and Matt to tell his story of building the layout and developing a game-day production for the school.

Or maybe you’re looking for a picture of yourself in the crowd at a specific event, in which case you could look up the FanCam and zoom in. Harvard University delivers productions for 300+ events per year! To take a peek behind the curtain of how they make it all happen, Justin and Matt are joined by Imry Halevi, Associate Director of Athletics, Content & Strategic Communications at Harvard University. Learn how the university developed their productions from in-venue to broadcasts as well as how they maximize the use of technology to tell a story for each sporting event.

Our control solutions are always advancing, and that includes the expansion of All Sport Pro Baseball. To hear about the details and how it makes life easier for game-day production staff, Justin and Matt talked with Chris Johnson, Daktronics product manager for All Sport.

With new displays on the way to the University of Minnesota, Justin and Matt chatted with Mike Wierzbicki, Senior Associate Athletics Director of External Affairs, to hear more about the project. He also shares his background and what it’s like working at the university, the multiple uses of certain areas of Huntington Bank Stadium and how this technology will bring more excitement surrounding their live events.

Building a connection with your audience might be as easy as collecting a database of existing and historical pictures and information. To hear how this database can be leveraged in different ways for schools, universities and even businesses, Justin and Matt visited with Roger Imhoff, national sales for TouchPros. He shares his path to working for TouchPros and how the product has delivered an interactive Hall of Fame as well as bringing it to light on Daktronics video displays.
